Міжнародна співпраця триває

Сьогодні відбулася спільна онлайн зустріч із представниками JICA, Київська обласна військова адміністрація, міст Футаба та Славутич, під час якої обговорювалися можливості налагодження співпраці між українським та японським містами.
Місто Футаба має схожий історичний досвід: після аварії на АЕС Фукусіма-Даїчі протягом перших десяти років воно було повністю евакуйоване. Лише близько трьох з половиною років тому розпочалося поступове повернення мешканців. Сьогодні місто активно відбудовується та працює над залученням нових жителів і відновленням громади.
Під час зустрічі сторони визначили перспективні напрями спільної співпраці, серед яких:
•  обмін досвідом у сфері відновлення постраждалих територій та сталого розвитку; 
•  розвиток інфраструктури та впровадження інноваційних рішень у міському плануванні; 
•  співпраця у сфері освіти; 
•  впровадження підходів до підвищення безпеки та екологічної стійкості. 
За результатами зустрічі було прийнято рішення підготувати лист про наміри співпраці. Його планується підписати онлайн під час Саміту міст та регіонів, який цього року відбудеться у травні.

Today, a joint online meeting was held with the representatives of JICA, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, and the cities of Futaba and Slavutych, during which the participants discussed the opportunities for cooperation’s establishment between the Ukrainian and Japanese cities.
The city of Futaba has a similar historical experience: after the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, it was completely evacuated for the first ten years. Only about three and a half years ago the gradual return of residents began. Today, the city is actively rebuilding and working to attract new residents and restore the community.
During the meeting, the parties identified the promising spheres of cooperation, among them are:
•  exchange of experience in the recovery of the affected territories and sustainable development; 
•  infrastructure development and the implementation of innovative urban planning solutions; 
•  cooperation in the field of education; 
•  Implementation of approaches to enhance safety and environmental sustainability. 
Upon the results of the meeting, the decision was taken to prepare a Letter of Intent for cooperation. It is planned to be signed online during the Summit of Cities and Regions, which will take place in May.
