Церемонія підписання договору відбулася 4 листопада 2022 року в режимі онлайн за участі міського голови м. Славутича Юрія Фомічева та Голови громади м. Пейнсуїк Мартіна Слінгера, в присутності представників муніципалітетів двох громад.
Договір є важливою підтримкою міста Славутича, коли його громада разом з усією Україною переживає російське повномасштабне вторгнення. Війна розділила життя славутичан на «до» та «після». Але життя триває і попри всі виклики громада намагається знайти точки росту для майбутнього повоєнного відновлення.
У цьому Славутичу допомагає дружня громада містечка Пейнсуїка, що розташоване у Глостерширы. Зараз Пейснвік гостинно приймає вимушених переселенців з України, зокрема зі Славутича. Беручи до уваги те, що місто Пейнсуїк і місто Славутич встановили зв’язок, заснований на їхній подібній екологічній привабливості, комфортному житті, туристичному та культурному потенціалі, історії цих двох міст як унікальних, близькості до місць виняткової краси навколишнього середовища, був укладений орієнтовний план співпраці у галузі освіти, культури, туризму та регіонального розвитку.
Нині вже відбуваються певні заходи як онлайн, так і офлайн, під час яких жителі двох громад знайомляться із особливостями англійського та українського освітнього, культурного та громадського життя. Заплановані зустрічі Туристично-інформаційних центрів, культурних та освітніх установ двох громад.
Сподіваємося, що угода про дружбу між Пейнсуїком і Славутичем сприятиме подальшому розвитку історичної спадщини, освітніх, культурних, мистецьких та економічних зв’язків між двома громадами.

Friendship and cooperation Agreement between the The Parish Painswick Parish Council, United Kingdom and The Town of Slavutych, Ukraine was signed
The signing ceremony took place online on November 4, 2022 with the participation of Yurii Fomichev, the mayor of the Town of Slavutych, Ukraine, and Martin Slinger, Chairman of Painswick Parish Council, United Kingdom, and in the presence of representatives of community’s municipalities.
This Agreement is an important support for Slavutych town, when its community, along with all of Ukraine, is experiencing a full-scale russian invasion.
The war divided the life of Slavutych citizens into "before" and "after". But our life goes on, and despite all the challenges, Slavutych community is trying to find points of growth for the future post-war recovery.
Friendly community of Painswick, located in Gloucestershire, helps Slavutych community in the struggle for a future peaceful life. Now Painswick hosts forced migrants from Ukraine, and in particular from Slavutych.
Whereas, The Parish Painswick Parish Council and the Town of Slavutych have established a bond based on their similar ecological attractiveness, comfortable living, tourists and cultural potential, history as unique towns, proximity to areas of outstanding naturel beauty, and recent, an indicative plan for cooperation in the field of education, culture, tourism and regional development was concluded.
There are already certain events taking place both online and offline, during which residents of the two communities get to know the peculiarities of English and Ukrainian educational, cultural and public life. Meetings of Tourist Informational Centers, cultural and educational institutions of the two communities are planned.
We hope that the Friendship Agreement between Painswick and Slavutych will help the further development of historical heritage, educational, cultural, artistic and economic ties between the two communities.
